I know well the personal hell of family reunions. Probably no one except the elderly really appreciate these things. Actually, sister likes them. She's nine years older than me and grew up with the cousins. I came along late and really hadn't even met most of them. Some of them have kids my age. I have nothing in common with them. Many of whom are Mormon and I am not. The reunions bore me to tears and I seldom make myself go.

Take some podfic or a Kindle or something.
